## Two dissertation pathways. One rigorous doctoral experience. 

University of Phoenix doctoral students may complete their dissertation through one of two pathways: traditional or applied. Both follow the same curriculum, credit hours, academic rigor, faculty guidance, Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements and oral defense process. The primary difference is the type of research conducted and how the findings are communicated.
